Dear Friends,
Courtney Byron and Sally Oh will hold their first “getting to know KAWW and Eastern Ky farmers” meeting on Thursday 1/14/16 from 5:30p to 7:30p at the Owingsville public library on Main Street. All are welcome to join us and, please, tell your Eastern KY friends about the meeting! Thank you.
Directions:
Take 1-64 to exit 121. At the top of the ramp, turn toward the Dairy Queen (right if heading West, left if heading East). This puts you on 36. Take that up the steep hill into town. At the first light, you’ll look left and see the library right there.
There is street parking as well as a city hall parking lot to your right. Any questions, call or email:
See you in January!
P.S. If you haven’t already, please take a minute and fill out the info form (at the bottom of the page) so we can add you to the members’ list. Not just farmers, but wellness consultants, providers and consumers need to be on the list. Some farmers might be hesitant about putting out their list of products, concerned that an overzealous bureaucrat might think a visit is in order. But if you are looking for a particular food and put that on your directory listing, a farmer could call you :)
I am interested excited about my newadventure. I worked as a registered Nurse and continue concern over the health of Kentuckians. I know we must have a change for the betterment of thepeople.
Hoping to attend!
See you there, Rebekah!
Hi! Looking forward to joining , new homesteader.
We’ll see you all there!
Hi. my friend april ferrell and I are starting a farm this year in Clark County. She owns 15 acres and I have just moved from Indiana to help create the farm. We plan on growing all natural medicinal herbs and vegetables along with a few animals for our own use. We are very excited to meet other women farmers. Our husbands are involved and supportive but not as passionate as we both are. We would like to attend the meeting in January.
Excellent, Lori! We look forward to meeting you :)
